Construction and Application of Modified 3GPP Spatio-Temporal Channel Simulator
In this thesis, a channel simulator has been developed with the aim to present the channel models based on the 3GPP radio channel model, which contains the system-level and link-level, and to describe the methods to modify the channel models. Applying the birth rate and death rate of the multipath in the realistic environment, the system-level channel model is improved by extending the time-variant characteristic of the AOA of the multipath. The database of the channel model is established by measuring the impulse response of the different environments. Thus the selection of the link-level channel models is increased. Finally, the performance of the WCDMA system in the modified simulator is also evaluated. The simulator aims at being used as a simulation platform for 3G wireless communication systems.
