Abstract: 降頻混波器在無線通訊前端電路中是一個非常重要的構成要素。它把通過低雜訊放大器的射頻信號和震盪器的信號相混合,把射頻信號轉換到中頻。增益、雜訊指數和線性度在設計混波器時是相當重要的參數。在本論文中,將會介紹、比較各種針對2.4 GHz工業、科學和醫學頻帶收發器的混波器結構。我們也將介紹所採用的低中頻藍芽接收器結構。我們將會分析混波器的增益、雜訊指數和線性度並且加以驗證。 我們將會發展符合藍芽系統單晶片設計的射頻前端電路的設計流程。我們將會推導系統的規格,混波器的規格也必須符合系統的規格。混波器所採用的製程是UMC 0.25um 1P5M製程。本論文中亦將包含混波器的量測結果和系統規格的驗證。
Downconversion mixer is an essential component in front-end circuit for wireless communications. It converts the RF signal to an intermediate frequency by mixing the RF signal from the low noise amplifier(LNA)with the local oscillator(LO) signal. Conversion gain, noise figure(N.F.)and linearity are the most important parameters in mixer design. In this thesis, various mixer structures target for 2.4GHz ISM band transceiver will be introduced and compared. The structure derived for low-IF Bluetooth receiver will also be presented. Analysis of the gain, noise figure and linearity of the mixer will be extended analyzed with silicon verification. Design flow for RF front-end had been developed to fit for digital convergence which will be described and the design for system on chip(SOC)with bluetooth system being demonstrative specifications are also derived. The mixer specific is shown to fit the system specifications. The mixer is fabricated in UMC0.25um 1P5M process. The system verification and measurement of the mixer will be described in this thesis.
