摘要: 本研究主旨主要分為兩部分: ㄧ為探討應用於近紫外光發光二極體之新穎黃光氮化物螢光粉;二為探討應用於藍光發光二極體之綠光、黃光、橘光或紅光硫化物螢光粉,研究之成果提供了白光發光二極體螢光粉應用之新選擇。 第一章簡介上述螢光粉研究背景、現況及設計原理,並以此為起點提出本論文研究動機與目的,並針對螢光粉發光原理、活化劑濃度淬滅、能量轉移機制及不同化學組成之螢光粉進行探討。 第二章詳述本論文所開發的四種白光發光二極體用鈰離子激活碳氮化物及氟硫化物螢光材料Y2(CN2)3:Ce3+、Y2AEF4S2:Ce3+(AE = Ca, Sr)、α-YFS:Ce3+及β-YFS:Ce3+螢光粉之製備方式及特性鑑定所使用儀器。 第三章詳述氮化物Y2(CN2)3:Ce3+螢光粉之晶體結構與發光特性與其在近紫外激發白光發光二極體之應用。 第四章詳述氟硫化合物Y2AEF4S2:Ce3+(AE = Ca, Sr)、α-YFS:Ce3+及β-YFS:Ce3+螢光粉之晶體結構與發光特性與其在藍光激發白光二極體之應用。 第五章歸納本論文開發的四種白光發光二極體用碳氮與氟硫化合物螢光粉之性質,並針對未來可以繼續探討之工作加以評述。
The purpose for this research can be divided into two parts. Firstly, the study of the near-UV LED excitable yellow-emitting carbonitride phosphor. Secondly, the study of the blue LED excitable green, yellow, orange, and red-emitting sulfide phosphor, and their potential applications on white LED devices. Chapter 1 introduces the research background and current situation of nitrides and sulfides, and then elaborates the motivations and goals of this thesis, and by the literature review of focusing on the fundamentals of phosphor, concentration quenching of activators, mechanism of energy transfer and discussions of different types of phosphors. Chapter 2 introduces the synthesis methods and characterizations of the four types of nitride and sulfide phosphors, viz., Y2(CN2)3:Ce3+, Y2AEF4S2:Ce3+ (AE=Ca, Sr), α-YFS:Ce3+, and β-YFS:Ce3+. Chapter 3 dipicts the crystal structure and spectroscopic properties of the yellow-emitting Y2(CN2)3:Ce3+ phosphor and its application on near-UV LED excitable white light device. Chapter 4 discusses that the crystal structure and spectroscopic properties of the Y2AEF4S2:Ce3+ (AE = Ca, Sr), α-YFS:Ce3+, and β-YFS:Ce3+ phosphors and their applications on blue LED excitable white light device. Chapter 5 summarizes the properties of the carbonitride and fluorosulfide phosphors and discusses the future work.
