摘要: VoIP (Voice over IP) 為現行最重要的網路服務之一,此服務建置於3GPP (3rd Generation Partnership Project) IP 多媒體子系統(IP Multimedia Core Network Subsystem; IMS) 及IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force) SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) 網路架構上。為了在此兩種網路架構中評估UE (User Equipment) 與核心網路之間的服務效能,本論文在Windows Mobile 為作業系統的UE 上研製了一套VoIP UA (User Agent) 軟體。並以通話建立(call setup) 為例。利用此UA 軟體來測量UE 於不同無線網路、不同傳輸協定、有無啟用身份認證、QoS (Quality of Service) 協商與TLS (Transport Layer Security) 安全機制下的撥號後延遲(Post Dialing Delay; PDD)。最後的測量結果可提供網路業者建置VoIP 服務時的參考。
Voice over IP (VoIP) is one of the most important network services in recent years. This service is deployed in the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) IP Multimedia Core Network Subsystem (IMS) and Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) network architectures. To evaluate the VoIP performance between the User Equipment (UE) and core network, this thesis designs and implements a VoIP User Agent (UA) on the UE with Windows Mobile operating system. This thesis uses the post dialing delay (PDD) as the measurement for evaluating the service quality of the call setup under different wireless networks, transport protocols, and negociation procedures (authentication, quality of service (QoS), and transport layer security (TLS)). The results would be meaningful for network operators to deploy VoIP service.
